Viera Delivers Four Hits To Seward Park Bears Varsity Victory Over George Westinghouse

          Angel Viera did the opposing team no favors on Thursday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading Seward Park Bears Varsity to a 17-2 win over George Westinghouse. Viera doubled in the first, tripled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.

         George Westinghouse got things started in the first inning when Jesus Ortega induced Dilshod Ruzmatov to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

         Seward Park Bears Varsity tallied five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Seward Park Bears Varsity was led by Ortega, Jeremy Casso-Garcia, and Ricardo Leonardo, all driving in runs in the frame.

         Ortega led things off on the hill for Seward Park Bears Varsity. He surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out 11.

         Kervin Garcia was on the mound for George Westinghouse. He went two and a third innings, allowing 12 runs on five hits and striking out four. Domingo Caraballo threw one and two-thirds innings in relief.

        Seward Park Bears Varsity collected seven hits. Viera and Jabel Alcantara all had multiple hits for Seward Park Bears Varsity. Viera went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Seward Park Bears Varsity in hits. Seward Park Bears Varsity stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Andrew Almonte led the way with four.
