Seward Park Bears Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over George Westinghouse

            Seward Park Bears Varsity stole the lead late in the game in a 19-12 victory over George Westinghouse on Friday. The game was tied at 12 with Seward Park Bears Varsity batting in the top of the sixth.

            Jabel Alcantara led Seward Park Bears Varsity to victory by driving in six runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate. Alcantara drove in runs on a home run in the first, a home run in the fourth, and a double in the sixth.

           In the first inning, Seward Park Bears Varsity got their offense started when Alcantara homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

          Moises Reynoso-Almonte led things off on the rubber for Seward Park Bears Varsity. He allowed two hits and 11 runs over two innings, striking out four.

           Utku Karademir got the start for George Westinghouse. He lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing eight hits and 11 runs while striking out 13. Domingo Caraballo and Peterson entered the game as relief, throwing one-third of an inning and one-third of an inning respectively.

           Seward Park Bears Varsity tallied 11 hits in the game. Jeremy Casso-Garcia, Alcantara, and Andrew Almonte each managed multiple hits for Seward Park Bears Varsity. Casso-Garcia went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Seward Park Bears Varsity in hits. Casso-Garcia led Seward Park Bears Varsity with six stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 15 stolen bases.
