Seward Park Education Campus

Located in the heart of the Lower East Side, the Seward Park Educational Campus is home to five vibrant and innovative high schools: Essex Street Academy, Urban Assembly School for Government and Law, Lower Manhattan Arts Academy (LoMA), New Design High School, and the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies. Together, these co-located schools form a united and diverse learning community that thrives both inside the classroom and on the field. The campus proudly supports 16 active teams in the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), giving student-athletes the opportunity to compete in a wide range of sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, and track—promoting teamwork, dedication, and school spirit across all five schools.

In addition to its strong PSAL presence, the campus is also home to 3 competitive teams in the Charter School Sports Association (CSSA), further expanding athletic access and participation for students. The inclusion of CSSA programs highlights the campus’s commitment to serving all students—regardless of school affiliation—with high-quality athletic opportunities. Whether representing their school in a PSAL matchup or a CSSA contest, Seward Park athletes bring pride to the Lower East Side, showcasing the campus’s powerful blend of academic rigor, artistic talent, and athletic excellence.
